I have been working on some innovative ideas and services to add to my business and get caught up in thinking about will these ideas succeed or fail.
Several years ago, while coaching a client, we were talking about this same situation for her business. She wanted to adjust the way she was currently doing business even though she knew she could have greater profits if she just made the changes that she needed to make.
She told me that she did not want to fail. I thought that was an awfully strong word.
Then as we were hashing this around, she asked me if I had ever heard of the acronym for FAIL. I had not. She shared it with me, and I even wrote it down on a post it. I stuck to my screen and see it every time I am in my office! This morning, I had to remind myself of the acronym.
FAIL = First Attempt In Learning
So, I am doing just that. Moving forward with my latest ideas and going to try them. I will review what worked for any of them and what did not. I will then modify what did not work portion and try again!
